Pat STUBBS

Biography

A native of the United States, Pat Stubbs had a long and successful career in business, during which she traveled to the four corners of the world many times. Shortly after her retirement, she was still looking for new challenges and happened upon a magazine article about the rapidly expanding tourist trade in South Africa.

In another chance encounter, this time on a flight in 1996, Pat Stubbs met Maggie Bryant, an American with experience in both ecotourism and environmental protection. Together, the two women decided to go to South Africa to study the possibility of partnering with the Zulu people. The result of that collaboration is the Isandlwana Lodge, a very special hotel.
