Solution / Organic Farming

In contrast to chemical farming methods, organic farming is a way of growing crops that shuns the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, and which respects that natural balance of the soil. Although it is often a challenge for farmers to adopt organic practices, as they have to solve problems in an environmentally sound manner if they wish to obtain the same yields as conventional farmers, by doing so they are benefiting both human health and the environment.

Rice is one of the most ancient grains cultivated by man, and is considered a staple food for more than half the world's population. Its production and consumption thus have an enormous influence on the health of billions of individuals. Defying doubters, organic rice farming has proven profitable when done properly, in addition to preserving soil fertility, protecting the environment and producing chemical-free food.
